Introducing...
Liv Eleanor Malan
She arrived August 30th at 4:20am, weighing in at 7lbs. 2oz. and measuring 20 1/4 inches.
Although she arrived 3 days late, labor and delivery was smooth and pretty quick. After lots of long walks and having my membranes stripped earlier in the day, I started having strong, regular contractions about 9pm. Following a good game of scrabble (Jared won, but I WAS...

Summer Shots

Just googled...

We do things like go to Costco, play with Kerry & Joe, eat at Chick-fil-A, and finish up the evening watching Ratatouille.

Some good friends invited us to a cabin in the northern mountains of Georgia this past weekend, which included a stop at Tallulah Falls.

Jared claims I’m a Star Wars geek. And while I may have seen Episode 3 twice opening weekend (and got a little choked up when Anakin turned to the dark side), I don’t believe I have the know-how that warrants the “geek” designation. Watermelon
Last summer, when Finn was in the womb, I ate a couple watermelons each week. The adoration (and consumption habits) lives on.

Future jockey?
A recent craigslist-initiated-adventure (which we have lots of here in Atlanta) ended with an unexpected treasure. It seems 10-month-old Finn and $8 Wonderhorse are a match made in heaven.
Uncle Bruiser & Mr. Finn

Recently returned from an extended vacation. Finn is becoming quite the jet-setter. He was lucky enough to experience San Diego, Yellowstone Park, Utah, and even Franklin, Idaho. We spent most of our time hanging out with family and old friends.

Dinner
(I’m almost finished posting pictures of Lake Como.) Here are a few shots from a dinner we won’t soon forget.
It was pretty great. What isn’t so great are the sleep habits Finn picked up on the trip. Hence my very early morning blog post. (We’re attempting sleep training around here.)

I'm starting a (picture) list
Our ND time is almost over. And while I’m more than excited for what the future holds, there are some things I’ll miss about this place.
